Job Description

The Key Account Manager Traditional Trade & C&C is responsible for developing commercial relationships and driving business growth within traditional distribution accounts and Cash & Carry chains. This includes negotiating and overseeing commercial contracts, implementing promotional plans, and monitoring performance indicators.

This role reports directly to Sales Manager Alternative Channels.

CLIENT RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT (TRADITIONAL TRADE & C&C)

  • Manages contractual relationships with 4 regional distributors and Cash & Carry accounts.
  • Negotiates and signs commercial agreements within internally approved limits.
  • Ensures proper implementation of contract terms: pricing, payment terms, discounts, promotions.
  • Monitors compliance with contractual deadlines and proposes corrective actions when needed.
  • Proposes customized commercial conditions for each partner (e.g., payment terms, credit limits, promotional activities).

PROMOTIONAL PLANNING & EXECUTION

  • Defines, plans, and oversees the execution of promotional activities for relevant product ranges.
  • Ensures proper implementation of the promotional calendar in C&C outlets and the distributor network.
  • Evaluates promotional effectiveness and prepares reports with optimization recommendations.
  • Works closely with the Shopper Marketing team to align promotional plans.

SALES MANAGEMENT

  • Develops weekly/monthly/quarterly sales estimates and accurate forecasts.
  • Monitors performance against sales targets and proposes corrective actions when needed.
  • Identifies growth opportunities within the existing client portfolio.
  • Ensures product shelf visibility and actively monitors own brand vs. competitors.
  • Proposes tailored activations to support brand performance in key locations.

INTERNAL COORDINATION & REPORTING

  • Tracks weekly and monthly: stock levels, sales, collections, promotional activities.
  • Acts as liaison between clients and internal teams (logistics, marketing, finance, customer service).
  • Coordinates and facilitates essential information flow to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitors competitor activity and proposes counterstrategies.

For this role we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree – preferably in Economics, Marketing, or related fields.
  • Minimum 3–5 years in FMCG, in a similar role.
  • Proven experience managing distributor and/or C&C network relationships.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working with sales targets and promotional planning.
